SEATTLE WOMEN'S STEEL PAN PROJECT​

COVER YOUR EARS YOUTH BAND​

SOLSTICE PARADE​​
​
The Seattle Solstice Parade is one of the cities largest artistic street parades. The most recent steel pan ensemble for the parade was called Tides of Change and was centered on the need to clean and preserve our oceans. EARTHY THINGS MADE EVEN

A 30-40 minute suite consisting three original music compositions arranged for the 15 member steel band, 8 member percussion ensemble and three guest soloists: well-known Seattle musicians Ann Reynolds, Kate Olson and Miho Takekawa. The Northwest Folklife Festival is an annual festival of ethnic, folk, and traditional art, crafts, and music that takes place over the Memorial Day weekend in Seattle, Washington at Seattle Center.
